Extra Small Kitchen Ideas

Posted on

Thick Ledge

While our 2017 Kitchen of the Year did not skimp in space, San Francisco designer Jon de la Cruz employed plenty of efficient tricks to max out the space. The chunky 11/4-inch-thick Caesarstone counter extends up the wall into the bottom of the window, creating a place for a soap dispenser (or wine glass).

Tiny Cabinets

Designer Amanda Nisbet injected warmth to a modern Manhattan apartment with a Macassar wood island and Tom Dixon Mirror Ball pendants. Small cubbies fill in the area over a window, to squeeze in storage, GTA TV Wall Mounting.

Matching Trim

At a 295-square-foot Brooklyn studio apartment designed by Nick Olsen, the kitchen corner, done in green and white to blend in, has a helping of charm with grosgrain ribbon trim and a painted plaid backsplash.

Rolling Ladder

Adding additional storage up top is a great concept, if you can reach, that is. Katie Ridder set up a rolling ladder (just like the library!) In this fantastic kitchen to access cabinets.

Stovetop Shelf

To enlarge a very small kitchen in his San Francisco apartment, designer Scot Meacham Wood added extra shelves. The cabinetry is located in the Interior Semigloss in Scuba Black of Ralph Lauren Paint. The curtains are a Christopher Hyland plaid.
